Maktoum meets Ivory Coast PM

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has reviewed with the Prime Minister of Ivory Coast Guillaume Kigbofori Soro areas of co-operation and the possibility of setting up a joint investment base especially in transport, ports and other fields.

In a meeting at Emirates Towers yesterday, Sheikh Maktoum briefed the visiting Ivory Coast Prime Minister on phases of progress witnessed by the UAE and Dubai in particular.

For his part, Ivory Coast Prime Minister expressed his country's desire to build bridges between the two sides, extending from the coasts of the Arabian Gulf to those of the Gulf of Guinea and to benefit from Dubai's local and international experience in the field of investment in ports, free zones, infrastructure and other sectors.

DP World Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem expressed readiness in the co-operation between DP World and Ivory Coast in building and developing ports. The meeting was also attended by three Ivory Coast ministers and CEO of DP World Mohammed Sharaf, among others. (Wam)
