Million's Poet winner to be crowned tonight

The eyes of the Arab World will be on the capital tonight as the winner of the Million's Poet contest is crowned and presented with the Dh5 million first prize.

Five finalists from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait – including one woman, Hissa Helal, from the kingdom – will battle it out for the title and a total prize fund of Dh22m live on television. This year's competition, the fourth to be run by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, has attracted unprecedented media interest from across all the Arab states.
