General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helú in the capital.
During the meeting, the two talked about economic developments and comprehensive development in the UAE.
Slim praised UAE achievements and lauded its strong economy that made the country an attractive centre for top international industrial and commercial companies. He added the country was favoured destination for foreign capital and investments. A number of issues of joint concern were also discussed during the meeting.
Slim, who has substantial business interests in the telecommunications sector, is widely recognised as being the second richest man in the world, with a net worth estimated in the region of $60 billion (Dh220bn). (Wam)
