Sheikh Mohammed and Sultan Qaboos discussed ways to strengthen social and economic co-operation. (WAM)
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman, where they discussed bilateral relations and ways of strengthening bridges of social and economic co-operation.
They also reviewed a number of other issues, including political and economic developments in the region.
Shekh Mohammed arrived in Muscat yesterday. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior Lt-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Labour Saqr Ghubash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of State Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi and Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman.
Sheikh Mohammed was received at the Royal Airport by the Omani Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad bin Mahmoud Al Saeed and the UAE Ambassador to Oman Mohammed Ali Al Osaimi and the Omani Ambassador to the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed returned to Dubai last night.
