No job cuts in Dubai government

Dubai government will not lay off any staff, a senior official told local Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.

Ahmed Al Sheikh, media aide of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Incorporated, told the newspaper that employees working for Dubai Government’s various departments would not be sacked.

However, Al Sheikh said that this does not mean that employees can neglect their duties or violate administrative rules.
