Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of Dubai's Executive Council (DEC), chaired a meeting of the council yesterday.
The meeting discussed the government's work plan for 2009, which was presented by the council's general secretariat. The plan also reviewed the most significant achievements by the Dubai Government in implementation of the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 over the past two years. Sheikh Maktoum gave instructions to draw up a strategy for government bodies to follow up on the execution of all steps of the plan and to send regular reports to him.
It also discussed infrastructure projects and strategic plans of the health, communications, education and other key sectors.
