His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will arrive today in New Delhi heading a high-level delegation on a two-day friendly visit to India.

He is accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and CEO of Emirates group and airline; Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State; and Mohammed Sultan Al Owais, UAE Ambassador to India, besides other Sheikhs and senior officials.

Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, last month visited India and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and to develop areas of trade and economic investment. The delegation had also taken part in the Arab-India Partnership Conference.

The UAE is the largest Arab trading partner of India, with the value of non-oil trade between the two countries reaching about $32.1 billion (Dh118bn), or 15 per cent, of the UAE's total foreign trade volume.
