Three killed in UAE oilfield accident

Three people have been killed and another was injured in an accident at an onshore oilfield in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning.

State news agency Wam did not specify the nature of the accident at the Shah Field operated by Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO).

The injured man has been hospitalised and is in a stable condition.

According to the agency, emergency procedures were put in place following the accident at 8.30am, and the area was secured.

Emergency response teams from Shad, Asab and the company's main office, and government agencies attended the scene.

The accident is being investigated.
