Three new DIFC judges sworn in

Three newly appointed Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) judges took their oaths of office before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday.

The new judges are Ali Al Madhani, Omar Al Muhairi and David Williams.

Sheikh Mohammed commended the role played by DIFC Courts in international commercial arbitration, as well as in providing an ideal environment for international companies seeking highly-qualified arbitration and a fair judicial system in financial and legal disputes.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler; Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and other ministers and senior officials.
