UP claims case concerns 'registering rights'

Union Properties has confirmed that some 35 investors have filed a case against the company for delay in handing over units at the Index Tower in DIFC. The firm's General Manager Khalid Al Jarwan told Al Arabiya yesterday that the investors registered the case in a law office without sending it to court. He interpreted the investors' move as "part of proving and registering rights, no more".

He said five investors have withdrawn from the suit after reaching an amicable settlement.
