Saudi couple killed on way to honeymoon
A Saudi couple who have just married were killed when their speeding car overturned many times and hit the pavement as they were on their way to a hotel for their honeymoon, the Arabic language daily Al Riyadh reported on Wednesday.
The couple, in their 20s, were still in their wedding dresses when the bridegroom lost control of his Toyota Camry as he sped out of the Saudi Capital Riyadh towards the hotel in the central town of Taif, the paper said.
“The two were killed instantly and the road was littered with flowers and presents the couple had received from well wishers,” it said.
