Suicide attack near NATO convoy kills three Afghans

A suicide bomb exploded near a NATO forces' convoy in restive southern Afghanistan Monday, killing three civilians and wounding seven, a provincial police chief told AFP.

NATO's International Security Assistance Force could not immediately confirm the attack in the Girishk district of Helmand province, where most ISAF soldiers are British.

"Three civilians were killed and seven were wounded in the blast," Helmand province police chief Mohammad Hussein Andiwal told AFP. (AFP)
