Tatweer joins with Six Flags to build theme parks across the Arab world

Tatweer has launched an alliance with US-based Six Flags, the world’s largest theme park company, to build parks across the region and beyond, including a multi-billion dirham theme park to be built in Dubailand.

The partnership to create thrill-driven theme parks across the Arab world will see Six Flags developing parks outside of North America for the first time. Saeed Al Muntafiq, executive chairman of Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding, said: “The addition of Six Flags to our burgeoning portfolio complements Dubailand’s value proposition as an unrivalled tourism destination.

“It is indeed a privilege for Tatweer to be selected by Six Flags as its regional partner and Dubailand as the destination to host the first Six Flags theme park outside of North America.”Tatweer and Six Flags Dubailand will work together to create new concepts across the region, such as Six Flags theme parks, branded restaurants, hotels and retail outlets that will offer travel and vacation opportunities for tourists, families and visitors worldwide.

The park will join the projects at Dubailand, including Bawadi, The Tiger Woods Dubai, Universal Studios Dubailand, DreamWorks Animation Park, Hit Entertainment and Global Village.
