UAE infrastructure to receive a boost

The directive follows a report by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, following his inspection tour made yesterday to a number of remote areas to evaluate the damage caused by floods and rain over the past days.

Source confirmed to Emirates Business that comprehensive studies will be carried out soon to identify areas where investments in infrastructure upgrades will be required. Electricity, water and roads are expected to be the main focus in the upgrade efforts.

Such investments will give a big boost to uniform development across the country, which is already showing double-digit growth figures. (Wam)
