Global Cricket Ventures (GCV), the rights holders for the Indian Premier League, has awarded Max Media the Middle East advertising sales contract for the sports showcase.
Max Media, in a joint venture with Dubai-based Netlink Blue, says it will offer global advertising opportunities to regional clients.
"The UAE has witnessed a significant growth in digital advertising spend and the medium is an increasingly cost effective choice in the current financial climate," said Shoeb Ansari, the sales director of Max Media.
"The GCV partnership gives Max Media the edge in offering clients the opportunity to reach global audiences during the IPL.
"Live streaming via the web fills a gap in ensuring brands target the high percentage of people viewing online, before they travel home," he added.
The official IPL website, www.iplt20.com, received almost 6.9 million unique visitors during the inaugural season last year.
The web address will be televised on air during all 59 matches in a bid to tempt people online.
The website's service will offer live video footage of every match, video highlights, live multi-language audio and exclusive still images.
