Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he's "comfortable" with the decision to sell Belarussian Alexander Hleb to Barcelona.

The 27-year-old midfielder was formally unveiled at the Nou Camp on Wednesday and although Wenger had initially been keen to retain his services, he was content with the terms of a deal worth an initial £11.8million (Dh87.4m).

"We must firstly thank Alex for his contribution towards Arsenal during his time with us," said Wenger. "He played a significant role in the three seasons he was with the club. We are comfortable with our decision to let him go and we are all looking forward to continuing our preparations for the new season ahead."

Hleb, meanwhile, has set his sights on helping Barcelona return to winning ways after completing his "dream" move to Spain.

"I want to give my best for this club. I have realised a dream. My aim is to win many trophies," he said. "I am ready to play in any position, I am available to the coach to play in any position, including goalkeeper."

Barcelona's summer recruitment could yet go into overdrive as Andrei Arshavin and Robinho have both been linked with the Catalan club.

Arshavin yesterday admitted a move to the Nou Camp is his No1 priority, as speculation over his future rumbles on in the wake of outstanding displays at Euro 2008.

"My dream is Barca," said the Zenit St Petersburg forward. "The whole world knows that I have dreamed forever about going to Barca.

"Messi, Arshavin, Henry? Messi is very, very good and to play with him must be a marvel, and the same goes for Henry. What more can I say? I would love it."

While Arshavin's move to Barca has been mooted for a while, the news that Robinho would be willing to leave their fierce rivals to join Hleb and Henry comes as a shock.

Wagner Ribeiro, the Real Madrid star's agent, however, said: "It's only logical a club like Barcelona want Robinho. He is also wanted by Chelsea and Man United. Chelsea have presented a big offer for Robinho to Madrid, but it seems as if the club don't want to sell him."
