KTM, one of the leading automotive brands in the world launched its flagship Superbike, the RC8, in the Emirates this week and will follow-up with the launch of its largest showroom in the world in Dubai.
Austrian motorcycle specialist KTM is one of the most famous brands in the two-wheeler category and is especially known for its off-road and quad bikes.
The firm has officially been in the UAE for about a year. Its intended "world's largest showroom" location is expected to be on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Tim Trenker, General Manager of KTM UAE, said: "The new showroom and workshop will be the most prestigious and well-equipped facility of its kind in the region. We will have the full range of KTM bikes, accessories, parts and clothing, providing unprecedented levels of customer care and service to all our clients."
The RC8 Superbike represents a departure from precedent for the Austrian brand, albeit a very successful one.
While KTM is a favoured brand in the off-road and adventure motorcycle category, its foray into the road bike category is relatively new.
The RC8, its maiden Superbike, debuted to rave reviews earlier this year in Europe. According to the company, in terms of effort and investment, the RC8 is its most ambitious development project yet undertaken.
KTM hopes to leverage its brand image as a leading manufacturer in the adventure bikes category for a push in the road bike segment.
