Various local sponsors such as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the Mohammed bin Rashid Creative Sports Award organisation, Nakheel, and Dubai Media Inc. (DMI) have teamed up with Emirates airlines, the Middle East's leading global sports sponsor, to support SportAccord International Convention 2010 being held in Dubai.
The convention is the world's top sports networking event that brings the leaders of international sport together to examine the big issues facing sports and is being held in the Middle East for the first time at the Atlantis Palm Jumeirah until April 30.
The international event also represents a unique opportunity of global exposure for Dubai as the hosting city, and for the sponsors of the event as it will embrace the international federations of various sports that are followed by millions of fans from across the globe, in addition to the extensive media coverage from all the major sports media from around the world.
