The "Fastest Woman in Ireland" will take on the world's best rally drivers in this week's WRC season opener, Rally Ireland.

The 20-year-old is the only female entrant and will line up against the likes of Mikko Hirvonen and Sebastien Loeb.

"Rallying has taken over my life and it is something I live for," she says. "I don't mind any of the sacrifices I have to make."

Ajantha Mendis

The Indian batsmen get another chance at trying to figure out the mystical spin-bowler when they play a five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting on Wednesday.

The 23-year old, who recently became the fastest bowler to take 50 wickets, bamboozled this week's opponents with his unorthodox variations in his debut series last year.

Wayne Westner

As winner of the 1993 Desert Classic, the 47-year-old is invited to return. A two-time South African Open winner and World Cup champion alongside Ernie Els (who will also feature), Westner endured ligament damage after falling 10ft when a sleeper train collapsed below him. It will be his first Tour event since January 2007.

Mike Tindall

The Gloucester and England outside centre will be in Dubai on Thursday night for a charity dinner. Flanked by Gareth Chilcott, Geordan Murphy and Ben Kay, the British and Irish Lions trip to South Africa is sure to be on the menu. Tindall, a genial gentleman who dates British Royalty, is also sure to raise a few questions of a different nature. For tickets call: 050 425 8625

The Poppies

Non-league outfit Kettering Town host Roy Hodgson's Premier League side Fulham today in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The minnows have never reached the Fifth Round before.
