The Eden region of South Africa has been chosen as the venue for next year's World Corporate Golf Challenge finals.

The tournament will be played on two courses in the new host nation – the Ernie Els-designed Oubaai and Fancourt Links, Gary Player's signature course.

And in a second change to the annual competition, which traditionally attracts strong participation from the UAE, organisers said the finals will change to a two-ball format from 2011.

The finals have been held at La Manga in Spain for the past three years and before that had been held in several other countries around the globe, including Malaysia.

A team from Emirates NBD bank, who represented the Emirates at the last WCGC final, finished 13th against some tough opposition.

UAE team member Shashi Raghavan said he enjoyed the occasion.

"All in all it was a wonderful and memorable experience," he said. "We hope to qualify and play again at the WCGC finals in South Africa next year."
