Samsung goes fashion crazy
In anticipation for Dubai Fashion Week, which begins later this week, Samsung Electronics has just revealed two new mobile phones for the fashionista. The Diva and Diva Folder, the latest to launch under the company's Diva Collection, are "especially designed for modern women who seek high-fashion and a luxurious lifestyle", says Samsung.
The phones feature, among others things, a 3.2MP camera and the 'Beauty Effect', which allows users to retouch photos, and the 'Lomo Effect', to turn ordinary snapshots into artistic photographs.
The phones, to be showcased at the fashion week, will be available from the last week of April.
Armand Basi inspired by spring
Spanish fashion brand Armand Basi's latest spring-inspired feminine fragrance Sensual Red is now available in the UAE. Perfumer Marie Salamagne says the fragrance "enfolds like a gentle caress". Costs Dh170 (50 ml)?and Dh230 (100ml).
The scent of a beautiful mind
Berlin-based Geza Schoen has created the first fragrance as part of their The Beautiful Mind series along with Christiane Stenger, who, at the age of 12, became a Grandmaster of Memory and the Junior World Memory Champion.
The fragrance is priced at Dh900 (100ml) and will be exclusively available at Harvey Nichols Dubai from April.
Zero defect with bareminerals
French cosmetic chain Sephora has announced the availability of the bareMinerals Get Started Kit in the UAE. Containing a number of foundations to makeup brushes, the kit, say the guys at Sephora, has been designed to enable women to achieve zero defect complexion. Price is Dh325.
