Animated All Star Band by Peter Kay

British comedian Peter Kay returns with a fantastic new music video – this time for the charity Children in Need.

The funnyman brings together more than 100 TV characters from three generations, including Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Thomas the Tank Engine. They form the Animated All Star Band – the Band Aid of children's television – a project that took two years to finish.

In the video, the characters – each worth £10,000 (Dh60616.86) – sang and performed to a medley of songs, including AR Rahman's Jai Ho.

And the video, which topped the iTunes pre-order chart last week, certainly took a long time to film. For one nine-second shot, each character's arms were animated 10,125 times.
