After last year's Babul debacle, producer Ravi Chopra has rounded up the troops yet again for Bhoothnath, starring Amitabh Bachchan, with Shah Rukh Khan in a 'friendly' appearance.
Best described as Dennis the Menace meets Casper the Friendly Ghost, it follows seven-year-old Banku (Aman Siddique) as he discovers his new home is occupied by grumpy old ghost Kailash Nath (Bachchan). After some early sparring, the pair team up for a rollercoaster ride that will change lives for ever. Juhi Chawla is Banku's exasperated mother, Anjali, who breathes life into this dull film.
Though Vivek Sharma has directed Bhootnath, it's clear Chopra is ghost directing (pardon the pun), with many of Bachchan's drawn-out scenes echoing similar sequences in Babul and Baghban.
