No wonder the creators of Scary Movie are working on a new spoof called Dance Flick – there are simply too many of these being released and the chances of finding a good one these days are about as low as Kevin Federline making it as a rap star.

Written by Duane Adler, who also brought us Save The Last Dance and Step Up, Make it Happen is about a young dancer, who – surprise, surprise – wants to make it big in the dance world.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Lauryn Kirk, who sets off to Chicago to audition at the famous Chicago School of Music and Dance. When she gets there, however, her hip-hop dance gets stopped by the judge, who rejects her, saying that she needs to see something more "sensual and feminine".

Dejected, Lauryn goes to a diner where she meets a waitress who introduces her to her friends who run a club. Lauryn soon finds herself involved with the group, and starts dancing at the club. But is it the career she really wanted?
