The cultural challenges facing Emiratis as they cope with the country's rapid development are at the heart of artist Azza Al Qubaisi's new show.

Part of a 10-year retrospective of the Emirati artist-designer's work at the DIFC, her Seeking Identity collection is a series of sculptures inspired by the Ghaf and date palm trees. The endangered indigenous Ghaf represents the UAE's traditional values while the date palm is a symbol of the country's identity.

Also on show is Sustainability, a collection that highlights the urgent need to use renewable energy sources to combat rising pollution and climate change.
