Indian theatre personality Paritossh Painter is back in Dubai and you know what that means; yes, it's time for confusion, comedy and, of course, your average swinging spectacle or at least two extra-marital affairs unfolding on stage. But Painter has surprised us all by breaking away from norm with the play Oye Ki Girl Hai, to be staged on Thursday at the Indian High School auditorium.

This time there will be one woman juggling three guys; after all, it is the 21st century, so women can also have their five minutes of fun.

The plot seems inspired by Priyadarshan's Garam Masala, which saw Akshay Kumar juggle three women on different days of the week while hiding his affairs from best mate John Abraham. In Oye..., Pooja Kanwal is Mallika, who has just had her heart broken. Not one to make the same mistake twice, Mallika will only marry Mr Right.

To make this monumental decision, Mallika jumps into the dating scene and shortlists three guys: Vicky, Promotion and Manu. She assigns specific days of the week to date them, but the plan only works until the day all three end on her doorstep. Panicked, she turns to pal Suchi for help, but events take a turn for the worse.

Also in the play are film and TV actors Rajesh Kumar, Asif Sheikh and Nasir Kazi. The play is organised by Signature Events and presented by The India Club and HDFC NRI Services.
