As a film soundtrack, Kismat Konnection (KK) hits the right notes, thanks to the combination of director Aziz Mirza and composer Pritam.

The Shahid Kapur-Vidya Balan chemistry will only sizzle with the music.

Pritam certainly seems to be on a high these days, and why not when the soundtracks of Race and Jannat have made record sales in India. And even though his music somehow finds inspiration from other people's compositions, the fact hasn't done the artist any harm.

True to form, Pritam's latest effort opens with the energetic Aai Paapi, which uses beats that are suspiciously reminiscent of Jennifer Lopez's Get Right. Singer Neeraj Shridhar gets it right (pardon the pun) from the word go, and the song will climb the charts very soon.

Pritam's current boy wonder, Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, returns in KK after their stupendous pairing with Pehli Nazar (Race). The result is Bakhuda Tumhi Ho, a delicious-sounding number, graduated from Aslam's trademark school of rock.

After Aslam, the runner-up as the voice-of-the-month is Hard Kaur. Her powerful vocals add life to Move Your Body Now, which also features Shaan and Akruti Kakkar. Blending Punjabi dhol beats into this new-age dance number will make the track a popular club anthem.

Other notable tracks include the Shreya Ghosal-Mohit Chouhan Is This Love, and the Sonu Nigam-Sunidhi Chauhan duet, Soniye Ve. Keeping with the trend, KK also includes remix versions of the songs.
