Here we go again on yet another teenybopper journey, where hormones love to fly and attitudes can cut glass.

Director Nick Moore and writer Lucy Dahl team up to concoct a story of a 'wild child' who is sent off to boarding school to tame her wicked ways, but in turn, the child has a lesson or two to teach of her own.

Emma Roberts is the spoilt Malibu Barbie-esque Poppy, complete with the trademark blonde hair and the socialite IQ that goes with it (of course, we don't mean you Paris). After one wild night too far, long suffering daddy dearest (Aidan Quinn) finally cracks his whip and packs Paris, oops, Poppy off to a stiff upper-lip British boarding school.

Predictably, pretty Poppy plots a plan to get herself expelled by hooking up with the headmistress' (Natasha Richardson) son. But, the devious deed is put on hold when Poppy decides that school may not be so bad after all. Give the girl a prize.

St Trinians it's not, but if you are looking for some teenage tirades to tickle your funny bone, then Wild Child may just be the ticket.
