UK's finest indirock bands live in UAE

Two of the finest British indirock bands will play in the UAE next month.

The winners of the Ivor Novello award Athlete, best known for their song Wires, will be joined by rising Sunderland act The Futureheads.

They will be joined by the United Kingdom Radio1 DJ Zane Lowe and Grandmaster Flash, one of the pioneers of hip-hop music and DJing.

All will perform live at the launch of the third volume of Nokia Inside Music – The Sound of Live.

Nokia Inside Music is a series of music documentary films that aim to capture the UAE's evolving music scene.

The Sound of Live features live band performances covering several musical styles, including alternative, indie and rock.

The event will be held on April 9 at Chi at The Lodge.

Tickets cost Dh150 and are on sale.
