DED to honour winners of excellence awards
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) will honour the winners of the 2009 cycle of the Dubai Quality Award, Dubai Human Development Award and the Dubai Service Excellence Scheme at a ceremony tomorrow at Grand Hyatt.
The initiative is part of DED's efforts to spread the culture of quality and excellence among businesses and maintain the competitive advantage of Dubai.
"Led by the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, we are committed to strengthening the culture of quality and excellence among Dubai's business community to attain international standards," said Sami Al Qamzi, Director-General of DED.
"The directives and initiatives of the Government of Dubai towards quality and excellence have contributed in promoting the productivity of the various business sectors including the government sector," he added.
Mohammed Bushanain, Executive Director Business Excellence Centre, DED, said: "The awards demonstrate how businesses in Dubai have integrated best practices in their work ethos and are continuously promoting the values of quality and excellence at all levels to further enhance the customer experience."
