Superyachts come calling at Dubai show

The Dubai International Boat Show 2010 got under way at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC).

The highlight of this year's show is the new super`yacht Boulevard, which is a dedicated section within the Marina Display Area that is reserved for showcasing superyachts of 25 metres (82 feet) and above. This is a magnificant display of some of the most luxurious yachts and 27 superyachts, including 26 boats that are more than 21 metres (68 feet) long.

There is also an Enhanced Superyacht Pavilion that will provide a dedicated area for superyacht builders.

Name: Majesty 121 foot

Top speed: 23 knots

The Majesty 121 is a true superyacht, from the immaculate exterior styling and the no-compromise naval engineering to the exquisite interior workmanship from Gulf Craft.

The Majesty 121 specifications have been designed to set a new standard for superyacht construction.

Gulf Crafts offers its clients a recommended five-bedroom layout with owner's suite either on the lower deck or main deck, a semi-raised pilot house and accommodation for up to seven crew members.

Ocean-going, this private island is your own undisturbed bit of piece of privacy on this planet.

 

 

Name: Sunseeker 124 foot

Top speed: 24 knots

This smooth-lined yacht offers four decks of luxury for owners and guests with big-ship captain and crew quarters for efficiency and discretion.

A ground-breaking achievement in design, performance and refinement, she has enormous scope to be customised to individual taste. It offers remarkable noise attenuation and zero-speed stabilisation for optimum comfort.

 

 

Name: Azimut 116 foot

Top speed: 28 knots

With a cruising speed of 25 knots and five guest cabins the Azimut 116 is the top of the range model in the large Azimut Flybridge range. It is a masterpiece of harmony, proportion and elegance in which huge spaces are treated with grace. The exterior styling and concept is by Stefano Righini, while the interior designer is Carlo Galeazzi.

 

 

Name: Westport 112 foot

Top speed: 25 knots

The Westport 112 has crisp, contemporary styling balanced with timeless traditional appeal shows a vessel of extraordinary performance, built to uncompromising standards of structural integrity and quality.

The interior arrangement offers unsurpassed luxury, privacy and comfort, whether socialising at dockside or at a remote anchorage.

 

 

Name: Silver Zwei: 240 feet

Top speed: 28 knots

Custom built by Perth-based shipyard Hanseatic Marine, the Silver Zwei is an Espen Oeino Design, all-aluminium, high speed, long range and low fuel consuming motor yacht. Said to be the world's fastest conventionally powered motor yacht, Silver Zwei at 73 metres is the longest

all-aluminium yacht known, realising a top speed of 27 knots.

With her low fuel consumption, sipping only around 400 litres per hour at long cruises averaging 19 knots, she can cover more than 4,500 nautical miles.
