Dubai's all about everything that sparkles, so it wasn't going to be long before we were introduced to attention-grabbing gadgets. But does the Diamanté Mouse give you a touch of class at work? Unfortunately, not really, as its more tacky and stupid than cheap and chic.

According to the makers, the Diamante Mouse is "a dazzlingly different and sparklingly superior computer mouse for people wanting to be lifted from the drudgery of normal workstations".

Okay, so it might brighten up your desk, but at the end of the day, it's just a normal mouse covered with bits of plastic posing as fake diamonds.

We could make a better one with an old mouse, and some glitter and glue.

Additionally, the mouse becomes quite uncomfortable on your hand after a couple hours, so the last thing you'd want to do is stay at your computer for too long.

And that's bound not to impress the boss.

With the price, we'd rather buy some pretty looking stationary or a funky USB gadget instead.
