For experiencing luxury in a classic and cultural setting, the Middle Eastern Royal Suite in Raffles Dubai is the apt place.

Priced at a little over Dh45,000 per night, the suite not only reflects the opulence and luxury that can be seen all over the hotel but also takes it a notch further.

The royal suite is all 650 sq m of sheer luxury and, as the name suggests, draws inspiration from Middle Eastern culture and lifestyle.

Lavishly appointed interiors, luxurious fabrics and delicate works of art thoughtfully placed within the suite, create a residential sanctuary to make the suite a sophisticated and luxurious home away from home.

The Middle Eastern Royal Suite is a veritable treasure chest of craftsmanship from the region. Ornate arabesque details line the walls and ceiling, while exquisite hand crafted artifacts decorate the majestic suite, showcasing the region's rich heritage and culture, imbuing the suite with an elegance that is both sophisticated and timeless.

Hagop Doghramadjian, General Manager, Raffles Dubai, told Emirates Business: "Each suite features a master bedroom fit for a king, dressed with opulent yet cozy furnishings, including a four poster bed, while a second guest room offers an additional accommodation for children or guests.

Two separate 'His and Her' en-suite bathrooms are gracefully designed and feature luxurious amenities from renowned perfume house Penhaligons.

"Apart from this, the suite has an elegant dining room, featuring a separate kitchenette with a discreet access for butlers. This dining room can host parties for up to 12 people. Ideal for pre-dinner drinks and entertaining business associates, a welcoming majlis comes fully equipped with a gentlemen's bar, while an adjoining terrace, offering sweeping views of the city's skyline, provides the perfect setting to relax in total privacy," Doghramadjian said.

"The terrace is for pre-dinner drinks, outside dining or sunbathing in total privacy. Also, residents of the royal suites will enjoy the services of a dedicated personal butler," he said.

Once you are comfortably settled into the suite you can begin to enjoy the facilities provided by this remarkable hotel, which has been designed in the shape of a pyramid. The design of the hotel is in keeping with the hotel chain's philosophy of housing their hotels in either a landmark building or a heritage building.

The special shape of Raffles Dubai puts it in the former league, as the pyramid-shaped hotel is indeed one of the landmarks of the emirate now and adds to its allure and mystery.

Doghramadjian said: "Raffles Dubai's iconic pyramidal edifice takes inspiration from the great pyramids of Egypt. This wonder of the ancient world stands almost as tall as the original pyramids, soaring to a grand 100 metres, with a glass capstone forming the top three levels."

The stunning façade makes a unique architectural statement, while its interiors offer a treasure trove of ancient legends, exceptional artworks and design excellence, emphasising three distinctive heritages: the traditional Middle Eastern culture, Egyptian history and the refined culture of Asia.

Prime examples can be found in the lobby, displaying an effortless blend of luxury, with majestic Asian-style waterbodies, brass chandeliers featuring swirling arabesques and imposing columns embellished with hand-carved hieroglyphs.

The ultimate extravagance resides at the peak of the pyramid, with four restaurants where guests can indulge in fine cuisine and masterful cocktail inventions.

Set in an unsurpassed location and offering spectacular panoramic views of the emirate with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on three floors, the pinnacle of the edifice represents the epitome of luxury chic.

But if you prefer to give dining a go by and would like to relax in a natural environment, then you can experience that, too, in the one-hectare botanical gardens that actually hang 14 metres above the ground on the third level of the hotel.

Doghramadjian said: "An unexpected feature for a hotel located in the centre of the city, Raffles Botanical Garden is inspired by Singapore's garden city landscape and offers 129,090 plants, including the Traveller's Palm, which has long been associated with the Raffles name.

"Raffles Botanical Garden comprises four themed garden areas, based on the four essential elements of life – Earth, Wind, Fire and Water – and offers a relaxing and exhilarating experience for guests," he said.

But no stay at the hotel will be complete without trying the signature treatment at the hotel's spa – the Egyptian Gold facial that will leave you feeling like royalty.

Building on an Egyptian theme, the spa has taken a page from the beauty book of Queen Cleopatra, who used pure gold to maintain her youthful skin.

The RafflesAmrita spa offers the 24 karat gold facial treatment, albeit with a modern twist to it. This skin rejuvenating experience utilises a new technology of Gamma PGA, Ions, and Ultrasonic Nano Mist combined with pure 24 karat gold to deliver glowing skin.

So if it is pure luxury and decadence you are after then book yourself into the Raffles for a royal treat.
