If you are fascinated by the history and romance of Spain then don't pass up the opportunity to buy this uber-luxurious property in Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain.

Called the Palazzo delle Luce, this seven-bedroom residence was constructed with the finest-quality materials and offers a lifestyle of superb luxury. Set on nearly six acres of beautiful surroundings, the property affords unsurpassed and unobstructed views of the Mediterranean coast and the surrounding hills and woods.

Landscaped gardens, fountains and water features, stone walls, a pool pavilion, and an infinity swimming pool further enhance the outstanding natural setting.

This estate is being sold for Dh111 million by Diana Morales Properties, an associate of Christies Great Estates. Roberto Quintana, Sales Associate, Diana Morales Properties, told Emirates Business: "The property is perched on nearly six acres of land in Europe's most exclusive estate La Zagaleta.

"La Zagaleta is one of very few luxury gated residential areas of the coast and offers two golf courses, a private equestrian club, and 24-hour security.

"La Zagaleta is a highly sought after estate. This residential area boasts exclusive and grand properties that enjoy 900 hectares of land. Because it is an area where building has been limited to 420 properties peaceful and private surroundings are guaranteed."

The Palazzo delle Luce comes with ornate detailing and an extensive lighting and climate-control system that ensure the perfect living environment throughout the home. The main hallway features a full-height ceiling through the upper elevations of the villa, a magnificent handmade chandelier, a double-width marble staircase, and a green onyx marbled cloakroom.

The main reception room incorporates a very large feature fireplace, double-height ceilings, and French windows on either side opening onto the terraces.

An informal dining area with 180-degree views through semicircular French windows provides an ideal area to dine. The formal dining room, with a feature fireplace, is located in the west wing of the property and offers views to the gardens and coast.

A large, fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace and a centre island completes the west wing.

The east wing is distinguished by a cinema for up to 10 guests, a library, and two guest suites enhanced by large French windows leading onto the extensive terraces.

The upper-level master bedroom suite boasts a large terrace accessed by three double French doors. The South African granite floor, with gold inlays, sets the tone for this grandiose space also with a feature fireplace. The lavish master bath has a large shower and a whirlpool tub fully covered in onyx and featuring a glass roof with special lighting effects. Quintana said: "Only the most precious materials have been used for its construction. Fine handmade blown crystal glass by Marieux and ceiling mouldings, high quality different kinds of marble such as Carrara, hand picked personally by the architect in Italy, Onyx, Red Alicante, Brown Emperador and Pink Portuguese. The master bathroom is covered in translucent Onyx with embedded fibre optics."

A separate dressing area, Juliet balconies, and a fully fitted kitchenette complete this nearly self-contained owners' area. Two guest suites are also found on this level.

Quintana said: "Encompassing most of the lower west wing is the spa and the octagonal shaped gymnasium with full-length mirrors, wood block flooring and ornate pillars. At the spa's centrepiece is a hand-built Turkish bath, with a capacity for eight people."

Further highlights of the residence include a total of seven full and two half bathrooms, two self-contained staff apartments, central air conditioning, and under-floor heating. An oversized three-car garage and additional parking round out the amenities.

Quintana said: "Recreational areas include two 18-hole private golf courses with two driving ranges, a riding club, a club house with restaurant, bar, several lounges, library, billiard room, bowling alley, function room with discotheque for private events, tennis and paddle courts, changing rooms, sauna and swimming pool. In addition to these sporting facilities, members can enjoy open air leisure pursuits like cycling and hiking around the natural lakes."

And you don't have to worry about where you are going to get the manpower to maintain such a huge place either as help is just a phone call away.

Quintana said: "There is a red carpet service to cater for the residents' needs. They provide private transport to the airport, home-delivery laundry service, maintenance of the gardens and pools, babysitting, catering, chauffeur and secretarial services, insurance company and banking facilities, amongst many other services."
