The summer vacations are coming to an end and for those who have not taken a break from their busy schedules as yet, here is a chance to do it before the children go back to school.

The Presidential Suite of one of the newest hotels on the block – The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina – is just the place to take that break, and in style. Priced at around Dh22,000 per night, this suite has roughly 800 square metres of space with great views overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Describing the suite, Ko van den Hil, Westin Hotel Manager, told Emirates Business: "Certainly the size and interior decoration and spectacular views make The Presidential Suite so special and luxurious. Roughly 800 square metres in size, it has three bedrooms, a huge dining area, a separate living area and two bathrooms.

"The bathrooms are unique as they are oversized with spacious dressing rooms and spectacular fittings. The suite also has a steam room, a fully equipped kitchen and a huge terrace with spectacular views of the Gulf. Located on the ninth floor, the suite has the best views of the sea and The Palm.

"Guests at the Presidential Suite also have their own private gym and two jacuzzi rooms, and their own butler. There are complimentary airport transfers, breakfast and snacks throughout the day and internet access."

The hotel is also very proud of its signature bed called the Westin Heavenly Bed. The all-white bed comprises a custom designed pillow-top mattress set, a cosy down blanket, three crisp sheets ranging in thread count from 200 to 250, a comforter, duvet and five plush pillows.

Apparently, it has won rave reviews from the likes of Sir Richard Branson, owner of the Virgin group, and earned the hotel loyal fans since its introduction in 1999. However, if you are one of those people who like the great outdoors and are not likely to spend much time in bed, you could try a hand at sailing in their sailing academy, water sports centre and the marina.

"We are situated on a spectacular stretch of beach, as well as being one of the few hotels in Dubai with its own marina. We offer a full array of water sports," said van den Hil.

You could also tee off at the The Els Club, the world-class golf club at Dubai Sports City, designed by US Open and British Open winner Ernie Els. The hotel has been named the only official hotel for the golf club and Westin guests will get a preferential booking window for tee time reservations as well as an exclusive rate.

But if teeing off in the heat is not your idea of fun, there's the Heavenly Spa that offers signature treatments and an atmosphere that is perfect for renewal and rejuvenation.

"The signature treatment in our spa is the Rollerssage which is an exclusive massage technique which combines the deep, relaxing feeling of a Swedish massage with radiating heat applied by the patented Rollerssage tool to relieve tight muscles," said van den Hil.

"This unique treatment uses pure, perfectly rounded crystals which are heated and rolled over the body for a deeply penetrating massage that is utterly calming and completely absorbing. The smoothness and soothing heat from beautiful, semi-precious stones, which are taken from all around the Earth, give a euphoric sensation as they contain healing properties. The stones provide an end-result of intense, deep relaxation. Rollerssage is a treat for the mind, body, and spirit. Guests are even given a small crystal to take with them at the end of the treatment," he said.

So go and book yourself into the Westin's Presidential Suite to savour a heavenly experience.
