UAE donates Dh1.8m to ICAO

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced yesterday its support for programmes of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) by donating C$500,000 (Dh1.8 million) to be used in ICAO projects that aim to enhance levels of security and air safety in the global civil aviation industry. The grant will be used for developing air safety operations and for contributions towards the preservation of the environment and development of search and rescue operations in South African countries under the supervision of ICAO.
