Anurag Kashyap: He has been in the news more for his divorces, break ups and link ups with his first wife Aarti, second wife Kalki and newbie actress Huma Qureshi respectively. But his much hyped ‘Bombay Velvet’,which has been shot and almost ready is slated for release this year. The reason fo r the film being important is the star cast of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. Ranbir plays a street fighter in the film.

Farah Khan:
The choreographer turned director is back with ‘Happy New Year’.  After a fight with SRK, a disastrous ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and a subsequent patch up with Khan, it does seem to be a happy new year for her. But it depends on how well this film starring Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Deepika Padukone does at the box office.

Kabir Khan:
After his espionage action juggernaut ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ Kabir Khan returns with another spy film – ‘Phantom’, and has the ‘Agent Vinod’ star Saif Ali Khan opposite his ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ heroine Katrina Kaif. Kabir is expecting a lot from this film shot in Beirut.

Imtiaz Ali: The mercurial filmmaker returns to terra firma with a soft story again in the form of Highway. Having made ‘Socha Na Tha’ and ‘Jab We Met’ as travel stories, Ali has cast Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in a remake of his own short story Highway on TV. Ali also co produces the film.

Homi Adjania: After making a highly successful entertainer called ‘Cocktail’, it does seem that director Homi Adjania is sipping a mocktail in the form of ‘Finding Fenny Fernandez’. The film which mostly has English dialogues stars Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor along with Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapoor.

Siddharth Anand:
After the failure of Anjana Anjaani, Siddharth Anand returns with a ‘Bang Bang’. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif play lead roles in the film which is an official remake of the Hollywood action film ‘Knight and Day’.

Sajid Khan:
Motormouth Sajid Khan’s failure with ‘Himmatwala’ after two successful franchises of ‘Housefull’ and ‘Heyy Babyy’ has put a lot of pressure on Humshakals – his next film for Vashu Bhagnani. Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu and Ram Kapoor play lead roles in the film. Let us shee if Humshakals can rake in the shekels.

Anees Bazmee: Anees Bazmee returns with a sequel of ‘Welcome’ called ‘Welcome Back!’  John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal pay lead roles with Shruti Haasan in the female lead. After flops like ‘Thank You’ and ‘No Problem’ and the hit ‘Ready’, Bazmee is ready again to prove a point.

Habib Faisal: The ‘Ishaqzaade’ director is cooking up a Daawat-E-Ishq . After having made a successful ‘Ishaqzaade Habib’ has Parineeti Chopra along with Aditya Roy Kapoor and TV actor Karan Wahi in the lead.

Ali Abbas Zafar- The ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ director gets his second outing at yash Raj Films with ‘Gunday’ starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The film set in Kolkatta in the last quarter of the previous century promises to be an entertainer. Period!

Rensil D’Silva: The Kurbaan maker whose film was sacrificed at the box office is fingering around with his next film ‘Ungli’.  ‘Ungli’ has Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles with Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh also forming a part of the cast.

Vikas Bahl:
After having co directed the acclaimed childrens’ film ‘Chillar Party’ Vikas Bahl returns with ‘Queen’ starring the earthy Kangana Ranaut. Rajkummar Rao makes up for the male lead in the film set in London.

Subhash Ghai: Ghai who has been having a very bad time of late with every film of his right from ‘Yaadein’ failing at the box office is trying a different subject with Kaanchi where he has launched Misthi as the heroine with Kartik tiwari, Mithun Chakraborty and Rishi Kapoor playing important roles in the film about a girl wanting revenge for the killing of her boyfriend.

Rajkumar Hirani: Everyone in Bollywood is waiting for the return of this man – Rajkumar Hirani to come back to Bollywood after his last film 3 Idiots set the marquee on fire. Hirani’s P.K. is a social satire which has multiple levels of emotions. Accompanying hero Aamir Khan in the film is Anushka Sharma in the female lead and Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt play important roles.
