Amitabh Bachchan is going great guns with his films. Even as he approaches the 75th year of his life and the 38th year of his career, he has films like Pink going for him.

His daughter-in-law, former Miss World and the very beautiful Aishwarya Rai made a comeback with films like Jazbaa and Ae DIl Hai Mushkil doing well at the box office, though Sarabjit only remained a critically acclaimed film.

With Amitabh’s wife Jaya Bachchan being a tad too choosy about the films where she wants to be seen in, his son Abhishek Bachchan who has only been seen in hit muliti-starrers like DHoom 3 and Housefull 3, refuses to be ruled out.

The actor who was on a sabbatical after Housefull 3, has now signed four films in the lead and as a solon hero.

One of them is the film Lefty directed by Prabhudeva (Abhishek is also a southpaw like Senior Bachchan), and the second one is a film called Bachchan Singh directed by Prabhudeva.

The other two are untitled and await announcement.  Abhishek has been quiet about his projects and wants his work to speak for himself.

Surrounded by a bevy of superstars, Abhishek is easily one of the best actors of his generation, but has been unable to cement his place as a star, let alone being a superstar because of the choice of films he has made.

Abhishek has often chosen films directed by close friends like Goldie Behl, Gurudev Bhalla and others which were not really great films, but done in the name of friendship. We really hope that Abhishek’s professional decisions will change the way this talented actor’s career goes.
