Adele Adkins mesmerised everyone with her powerful voice while performing her Oscar winning song during the 85th Academy Awards for the James Bond movie 'Skyfall'.

Now the singer is all set to impress the audience with her acting skill if she chooses to take up the challenge. Adele has been reportedly offered a role as a villain in the latest James Bond film by Matthew Vaughn.

Based on a graphic novel by "Kick-Ass" creator Mark Millar, "The Secret Service" is to be helmed later this year by "X-Men: First Class" and "Layer Cake" director Matthew Vaughn, Entertainmentwise.com reported.

"Adele is exactly what Matthew is looking for," a source told The Sun on Sunday, in response to rumors claiming the recording artist is up for the villain role in the film. "He wants the highest-profile names in various fields to boost the film's cause and turn it into a mega-money franchise."

Adele, 25, had a cameo on TV's "Ugly Betty" in 2009. She won an Oscar this year for her song, "Skyfall," the theme for the latest James Bond adventure.

The director is also thought to have approached David Beckham and Sir Elton John to join the cast of 'The Secret Service'.

The 25-year-old would join stars Colin Firth and Michael Caine, who will play secret agents battling a variety of villains.
