BOLLYWOOD @ CANNES 2013:

The 2013 Cannes edition will see a host of Indian celebrities attending the 11-day cinema carnival.

The big Bollywood attraction this year is Vidya Balan, who has been included in the nine-member jury headed by Steven Spielberg.

Actor-film-maker Nandita Das, who has earlier served on the jury in 2005, has again been invited to the film extravaganza - this time around, as a member of the Cine Foundation and short film jury.

Amitabh Bachchan, along with daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, son Abhishek and wife Jaya, is expected to attend a screening of the Baz Luhrmann film The Great Gatsby, which will be opening the festival.
The Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer marks Big B's Hollywood debut with a special cameo.

Another attraction for Bollywood lovers in Europe will be the 'grand world premiere' of Bombay Talkies. Although the film, Bollywood's tribute to mark 100 years of Indian cinema, opens in India on May 3,
it has been given a special screening slot at Cannes.

'Bombay Talkies' is an anthology of four short films directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar. All the four talented directors will be part of Cannes red carpet event.

Ugly, the latest film by Kashyap, who has become Bollywood's mascot of sorts at Cannes lately, will also be screened as part of the Director's Fortnight segment.

Two others, Amit Kumar's Monsoon Shootout, starring Vijay Varma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Ritesh Batra's Dabba will be showcased as part of the Midnight Screening and Critic's
Week Screening segments respectively.
