In the forthcoming film 'Rustom', Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar plays the role of Naval officer Rustom Pavri, who is a Parsi by religion.

The film is set in the fifties and as Akshay was contemplating how to get the research right so that he could look the part and dress right even for some important functions set within the film, his personal manager Zenobia Kohla decided to help.

There was a particular scene where Kumar had a marriage scene with Ileana D Cruz who plays the heroine of the film.
So he requested Zenobia to bring her parents’ wedding album.

Akshay and Ileana then got themselves styled like Zenobia's parents Naval and Perin Kohla for the wedding scene in the film.

Rustom is based on the landmark Nanavati case from India in the 1950s.

Commander Cawas Manekshaw Nanvati was accused of killing his wife’s lover in a planned attack, but was let off by the jury. That case also led to the abolishment of the jury system from Indian courts.

The film releases in the second week of August.

Circa 1963 saw the film 'Yeh Raaste Hain Pyar Ke' starring Sunil Dutt and Ashok Kumar made on the same subject. Producer Pooja Bhatt was also planning a film on the same subject called 'Love Affair' directed by her step mother and Ali Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan starring Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin, but the film has been held up.
