Alia Bhatt's new place has no place for dad Mahesh

On her 23rd birthday a few days ago, Alia Bhatt bought a new house and moved out from her home where she was living with her parents Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt as well as her sister Shaheen Bhatt.

Mahesh Bhatt had just one question for the 'Student of the Year' actress when she told him about her decision to have her own house.

“Where are you shifting to? Does your new home have a room for me,” he asked me. “I told him that he did not have a room in my new house, but then I was not shifting too far from home. I was shifting close by but wanted my own place,” says Alia honestly.

The actress had her house designed by Richa Bahl who is a known designer. “She has also done up Kangana Ranaut’s house and she’s done a good job,” says Alia who paid a fortune for her buying and designing her new pad. The house has a lot of neon signs as well.

But then when Alia entered films for the first time, her monies weren’t good enough to buy a house. Few people may know that Alia Bhatt had done a small sequence in her father Mahesh Bhatt’s film Sangharsh as a child actress.

And it was at the shooting of the film that Alia was happy to see some nice food laid out on the table. “There was a food plate kept before me and I kept repeatedly asking if I was supposed to eat it or not. At first no one answered me, but later I was told that that food is not for me to eat. In fact most food used those days during shots were not to be consumed,” recollects Alia about her disappointment off screen.

The scene was a dramatic one with Alia sitting on the table with her grandmother when her brother enters the room and is later killed by the police as he is an extremist.
