Looks like the casting team of ‘Welcome Back’, the sequel to the blockbuster ‘Welcome’, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure they have a killer cast on board.

And, if it means hiring the most popular stars in the industry, then be it.

After picking John Abraham, instead of ‘Welcome’s original star Akshay Kumar, they’ve now done some changes for the female lead as well.

Apparently, Mallika Sherawat, who was initially pegged for the female role, has been replaced by erotic star Sunny Leone.

According to ‘Bombay Times’, Sunny is quite in demand after ‘Jism 2’ and Mallika Sherawat, who had starred in the first film and was the initial choice for the sequel, isn’t hot enough.

According to the daily, Sunny Leone is a rage amongst the youth and filmmakers are of the opinion that Mallika Sherawat isn't as hot as she was during the making of ‘Welcome’.

This appears to be the same reason for selecting John over Akshay.

After his successful run as a producer in ‘Vicky Donor’, and with so much buzz surrounding his next action thriller ‘Shootout at Wadala’, John is turning out to be a current favourite.

The Anees Bazmee directed ‘Welcome’, which released in 2007, was a massive blockbuster, and the film’s producer Firoz Nadiawala is keen on cashing in on its success with a sequel.

It is reported that the filmmakers paid John a whopping INR 15 crore for his part.
