Arab fans are in for a treat at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix this year, as the next few names in the starry artiste line-up includes superstars Amr Diab, Elissa and Hussain Al Jassmi.

The trio will headline the performances on October 31, as part of a special Yasalam Arab showcase that will flag off the four-day after-race concert line-up that has already seen UK’s electronic legends Depeche Mode as the final day headliners.

The announcement for days two and three have yet to be made by organisers, Flash Entertainment, with the concerts returns to the du Arena on Yas Island.

Diab, the biggest selling Arab recording artist of all time will top the bill on October 31st, with award-winning Emirati artist Al Jassmi and three times world music award winner, Lebanese superstar Elissa.

Diab, who is known as the Father of Mediterranean Music, has released over 25 albums in the course of his 30 years at the very top of Arab music, starting with 1983’s ‘Ya Tareeq’ and culminating with ‘Banadeek Ta’ala’ in 2011.

With a concert held in Dubai earlier this year, his new album has been delayed further to release in August, just in time for catching it live for the F1 concerts.

Fans of Levant music would be no newbies to the fiery Elissa’s brand of music, having started off her creative career in theatre before winning on ‘Studio Al Fan’, one of the region’s best-known talent shows.

Elissa’s career took off with the release of her first album, ‘Baddy Doub’, and since released countless more and collaborated on various singles with renowned musicians like Chris De Burgh, Ragheb Alameh and Cheb Mami.

The singer has also become one of the judges on ‘The X Factor’.

Meanwhile, Emirati artist Al Jassmi’s career was launched by the television talent show ‘Layali Dubai’ in 1997, and there has been no looking back since.

Since his debut, he has released four albums and has been chosen as a ‘Goodwill Ambassador’ by IIMSAM, the intergovernmental observer of the United Nations, which deals with fighting poverty and famine worldwide.

Al Jassmi also participated as a member of the jury of the Arabic version of the ‘The X Factor’ in 2013.

Historically a three-day concert event, this year, a fourth day has been added to pay tribute to the fifth anniversary the F1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

F1 ticket holders will be able to attend all four concerts as part of the entry ticket privileges – called Y1 Access – which also includes two complimentary invitations to the Thursday after-race concert, two ‘Friends Friday’ invitations, after-race concert Golden Circle upgrades, and discounts on selected Flash events throughout the year; conditions apply.

The Grand Prix will be held at Yas Marina Circuit from October 31st to November 3rd.

Launched as part of the inaugural Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009, the programme of activities and events has attracted over a million attendees and seen more than 150 performing artists, including 20 multi-award winning international and regional superstars, including Beyonce, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, Eminem and Sir Paul McCartney.
