This isn’t going to be like any other Thursday, is it?

At least, not in Arabian Centre in Al Khawaneej. Not when Bollywood’s biggest superstar Shah Rukh Khan is setting foot there.

Now that news of SRK's mall appearance has been scheduled for around 6.30pm, soon after he finishes the promotional exercises for ‘Chennai Express’, the mall management is working overtime to ensure everything goes about smoothly.

Talking exclusively to Emirates247, Tim Jones, COO of Arabian Center stated that they are working hard to ensure everything goes about without a hitch.

“Since, this is the biggest event our mall will be hosting,  therefore, additional security, bouncers and even police security have been arranged.

“Special police barricades have been arranged. An ambulance and a first-aid team have been kept on standby.

“Additional staff has also been deployed to guide customers around the mall.”

Although the organisers are aware of Shah Rukh’s incredible star power, they are unable to measure how many people will turnout for the event tomorrow.

“It is difficult to quote any number as of now, however since this will be the biggest event for Arabian Center so far, so we are expecting a huge number of people.”

While the mall management is aware of the magnanimity of the event, they are hopeful that everything will go as planned, and without a hitch.

Just to ensure that no untoward incidents occur, Jones added that, “we will ensure that security personnels are positioned after every few meters between the crowd, to ensure more crowd control.”

Since SRK will be breaking fast on stage with the management team of Arabian Center and his fans, “free dates and water will be distributed to everyone at the mall so that they can enjoy the religious sentiments of Ramadan with Shah  Rukh”.

Jones added that the star “has not made any special requests and has been quite humble in this regard”.

While the probability that you’d actually catch a glimpse of the dimpled star will be highest at the Arabian Centre, we can’t guarantee your being photographed when he flashes his crinkled smile.

Nevertheless, something is (infinitely) better than nothing. Right?
