Asin's D-Day: Christian wedding followed by Hindu ceremony

Indian actress Asin Thottumkal and her fiance Rahul Sharma, are officially married now.

The couple had a church wedding in the morning, which will be followed by another wedding as per Hindu rituals in the evening at Dusit Devrana Resorts, Delhi.

Asin's fan club took to Twitter to declare that the two are now married.

While some 50 odd guests graced the Christian wedding in the morning, 200 well-wishers will be part of their Hindu wedding which will take place at night.

For the Christian wedding Asin picked up a gown designed by Vera Wang and will wear a Sabyasachi Mukherjee's creations for the Hindu wedding.

The couple is reportedly throwing a bash the next day at the groom's private guest house, which, again, will be restricted to close friends and relatives.

Among the celebrities, Akshay Kumar, who played a major role in their relationship, will attend the wedding as well as the private party.

Asin and Rahul Sharma have organised a wedding reception for their friends as well, in Mumbai on January 23.

The Kerala-born actress shot to fame down south and reached the pinnacle of popularity before she was introduced to Bollywood by AR Murugadoss in 'Ghajini', which featured Aamir Khan.

Since then, she has settled in Bollywood and has not returned to south Indian films.
