“*Yawn* *Blinks* who’s my daddy? [sic]” were the first words tweeted by Baybee Bachchan, or the person who runs the spoof Twitter account dedicated to Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s baby girl who was born earlier today at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai.

The cheeky account, which in no way is associated to Bollywood’s Bachchan family, already garnered 50 followers in the first 50 minutes of its tweeting.

As minutes ticked by, the one liners kept coming, with one tweet wondering: “So, apparently there are already bets about whether I’m to be hot like mum or wooden like dad. Where’s Aunty Priyanka [Chopra] when I want her?”

Another message said: “Hey Gramps! Kaun Banega mera Crorebaap?” A play on grandfather Amitabh Bachchan’s hit reality game show, “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.

The humour got uglier with Baybee Bachchan tweeting: “Hey mum. Was I a Caesarian? Coz you must be used to going under the knife [sic].”

Earlier today, proud father Abhishek and grandfather Amitabh took to the mircoblogging site and tweeted to the world that Aishwarya gave birth to a baby girl.

“I am dada [grandfather] to the cutest baby girl,” tweeted Amitabh, adding: “A dadaji… ecstatic.”

The news had the entire world abuzz, with #BabyB even trending at the numero uno spot on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the celebrity world showered blessings and congratulations on the new addition to the Bachchan family, with Celina Jaitley tweeting: “Congratulations to Bachchan Sir, Jayaji, Aishwarya and proud daddy Abhishek.”

Director, producer and family friend Karan Johar tweeted: “Congratulations at Senior Bachchan. Super exciting news. All the love and happiness Amit uncle [sic].”

He added: “Congratulations! Baby B had a baby girl! @juniorbachchan All the love and happiness... am sure she will be the prettiest girl ever [sic].”

Actor Boman Irani and Abhishek’s co-star in several films tweeted to Amitabh: “Adaji. All of us here are delirious with joy. Bless you all.”

While Abhishek got a simple shout out: “Oh Mara Baap! [Oh my father] Overjoyed my darlings.”

The frenzy surrounding the new baby’s birth had reached fever pitch as the delivery date approached, with Indian media finally practicing a rare show of restraint by issuing guidelines on what sort of coverage will be given to the Bachchan family’s latest bundle of joy.
