Tween sensations Bella Thorne and Zendaya Coleman are already making a splash in Dubai ahead of their public appearance on Thursday, with one half of the Disney duo frolicking at Atlantis The Palm’s Aquaventure water park by day while the other star gazes at night as she battles jetlag.

Hosted by Emirates Hospitality, Thorne and Coleman are on their first ever visit to the emirates, where they will meet and greet fans at a special dinner for fans at Al Han restaurant, Abu Dhabi on March 29, followed by making their signature shake at the Millions of Milkshakes outlet at The Dubai Mall the next day.

The starlets shot to fame in November 2010, when Disney launched the sitcom “Shake it Up”, which revolves around the misadventures of best friends Rocky Blue (Coleman) and CeCe Jones (Thorne), who fulfil their dreams of becoming professional dancers when they land roles as dancers on a local show, “Shake It Up, Chicago!”.

You can be excused for comparing the show to Miley Cyrus’ cult hit, “Hannah Montana”, with Coleman and Thorne fast building a fan following as a second season extension to their hit show has been granted recently.

Meanwhile, ahead of their public appearances, Thorne has been busy tweeting pictures of her adventures around Dubai, after boarding an Emirates flight on March 26.

In a few short hours of arrival, Thorne tweeted yesterday: “Going to swim with sharks! #Atlantis [sic]”

We can only assume she means swimming with the dolphins at Aquaventure where she was joined by her brother, Remy Thorne, before having dinner with him.

For those not in the know, the 14-year-old actress’ older sibling, 16, is also an actor who’s appeared in various TV shows including “Criminal Minds”, “Las Vegas” and “House”.

Meanwhile, Coleman complained of jetlag with her early morning tweet saying: “It’s like 6.15am and I can’t sleep. I wonder how I will adjust to this time change.”

She added: “Gonna try to sleep for an hour... tweet later.”

However, before nodding off, Coleman did have a few poignant things to say to her fans: “Don’t forget to look up at the sky tonight. Venus and Jupiter are as beautiful as they will be in a long time. I wonder if I will see the same thing in the sky here in Dubai. I’ll check tonight and let you know.”

Accompanying them at the public events will be Sheeraz Hasan, the founder of Millions of Milkshakes, who was also responsible for bringing down reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner last October to Dubai last year to officially launch the first Millions of Milkshakes franchise outside of the US.
