Best and worst of Bollywood @ Cannes: Aishwarya, Sonam...

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Fashion critics lashed out at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan when she returned to Cannes red carpet after her pregnancy in 2012.

Along with her poor choice of outfits, Aiswarya did nothing to hide her baby fat.

When it comes to ethnic wear, Aishwarya has always disappointed fans at the Cannes red carpet.

But then there have been days when Aishwarya stole the limelight at the red carpet and you cannot take your eye of the former Miss World.

Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan went for traditional Indian look, opting for Sabyasachi ensembles, during her stint as a jury member at 2013 Cannes debut.

Balan continued her series of sari embarrassments starting from the opening ceremony.

She went on a 'Mughal princess' mood as she wore a white and gold Sabyasachi lehenga and covering her head with the veil. The designer wanted to give her that different Indian traditional look, and guess what? The experiment failed on Vidya.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif never plays around with her look and it was no different for her at Cannes 2015. It was rather disappointing to see Katrina in her two outings.

In 2015, Katrina Kaif's look in a black lace Oscar de la Renta received mixed reviews. Even though the gown perfectly accentuated the actor's curves, fashion critics were a little disappointed with her choice of make-up.

Sonam Kapoor

Known for her bold fashion moves, Sonam Kapoor rarely takes a wrong step when it comes to red carpet.

But at the Cannes 2015 the actress picked up a yellow feathered Elie Saab couture gown and then social media had a field day. The actor’s outfit easily took the tag of the ‘most controversial outfit of the year’.
