'Bold & the Beautiful' fans: Is Ridge Forrester to die in Dubai?

SPOILER ALERT: Ridge Forrester has been pushed off a helicopter into the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf.

The good news is,  the cold will be the least of his concerns as he fights for his life, all in time to stop Brooke Logan from marrying the scheming Bill Spencer, who in turn plotted Ridge’s dramatic fall into a watery grave in the first place.

Phew!

For fans of the long running CBS soap opera, ‘The Bold & The Beautiful’, these twists and turns are all in a day’s work in the gripping lives of the Forresters, the Spencers and the Logans.

Only this time, the intertwined telly families have brought their scheming ways to Dubai with a new plot twist in the storyline, which was filmed here back in March with Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) and Don Diamont (Bill) and is now finally being aired on CBS.

Talking about choosing Dubai in its plot, show producer Bradley Bell had told TV Guide at the time: “B&B is really popular on the Dubai One network and that’s opened up a lot of doors.”

Bell also attributed the decision to shoot here due to Lang, who was scheduled to participate in the Abu Dhabi Triathlon and had asked for time off.

He said: “Kelly asked me for time off to take part in the event and I said, 'Well, how about we all come with you?”

Bell has also revealed the plot that would bring the trio over, saying: “We’re going to take advantage of the great Ridge-Bill rivalry. Ridge still feels like he’s Brooke’s protector and he certainly doesn’t want Bill to become stepfather to his son, RJ.”

Cut to June, and ‘B&B’ now sees Ridge having landed on these sunny shores to stop Brooke’s 4th or is it 6th wedding.

However, Bill had anticipated this move and ordered the helicopter pilot to dump Ridge over the Arabian Gulf.

As the crisis unfolds on the telly, search and rescue teams are hunting for Ridge even as a sub-plot tells us that his father and Brooke’s former husband Eric (John McCook), along with Bill’s ex-wife and Brooke’s sister and Ridge’s new fiancé Katie (Heather Tom) are en route to Dubai to… help, we guess.

Critics are saying that its highly unlikely that Kaye’s character would be killed off anytime soon.

So wait with bated breath, as Kaye could resurrect with amnesia, slip into a deep coma for a few episodes or return as Ridge’s doppelganger who turns out to be Eric’s illegitimate son.

The possibilities are endless for the writing team of ‘B&B’.
